Comparing treatments:
1.Fixed denture on implants
2.All-on-4
3.Implant retained bridge for full set
Part 2

Implant retained porcelain bridge
The implant retained bridge is a line of porcelain teeth permanently cemented on 6 or 8 implants. This tooth replacement is common in cases of minimal bone resorption. (For example someone has severely damaged teeth, but most or all are still in place in healthy bone tissue). Get your free quote for implant with bridge>

All-On-4
All-on-4 hybrid denture is similar to a porcelain bridge but it has some pink contour to replace gum tissue. This tooth replacement is optimal for those who suffered from moderate bone loss. 4 implants are placed on one arch with the all-on-4 bridge permanently attached. The back implants are placed in an angle to gain extra support.
|
Fixed denture (4 implants with lock on dentures)
A fixed denture has larger gum parts to cover the front and sides. This is suggested in cases of moderate or advanced bone loss, and if face and lips also need support (eg saggy lips/face due to bone loss). The fixed denture locks on the implants with a click on retainer. Get your free quote for fixed denture>

How do you clean these teeth?
Cleaning the implant teeth is very simple. The bridge and the All-On-4 is cleaned like natural teeth with a toothbrush. Under the teeth and around the implants a small brush should be used. The fixed denture is unlocked from the implants for cleaning the inner side, and around the implant posts.

What is the price?
The total price of the implant bridge and All-On-4 is roughly the same. The price of implant denture is lower. For a provisional quote please contact our patient support office via e-mail or phone or through our website. Get your free quote>

How do you tell which of these will suit the patient?
We look for the solution that best restores both the aesthetics and functionality of natural teeth. The greater the overall bone loss is the fewer choices one has regarding the teeth replacement. Other factors are also to be considered, like future maintenance of the implants, or costs and time of the surgery. For example if someone is prone to gum disease it is best to look for teeth replacement that is cleaned easily to assure implants are not effected by the disease. The treatment should possess all the advantages and benefits the patient is happy with, which is the most important. Book your free consultation>

do you do conscious sedation for very nervous patients ? also do you do away with the top palate leaving only the teeth sat on the implants on the upper jaw as I don't like the thought off the top palate as like to feel the roof of my mouth . I also need teeth out not many left so really all of them so would need both top and bottom jaw implants . do you remove teeth?
ReplyDeleteHello Maureen,
DeleteYes, implant technology allows teeth replacement to avoid having a denture that covers your palate. Both implant dentures and implant bridges offer this advantage. The dentist would gladly advise which should suit you best. Tooth extraction is commonly part of the impant treatment and is completed before implant surgery.
